I’m challenged especially here in Tanzania, where I automatically feel uncomfortable because of cultural differences inherent in daily life, to live a life outside the grip of comfort addiction. It is so easy to make excuses in this setting so that I don’t feel guilty for indulgence or pampering instead of making the hard choice to embrace the discomfort so that God can be glorified. I was called here to work for the Lord, and it is a hard place to live out that calling, but living out that calling means making those hard decisions to be uncomfortable so that people will be drawn to the Lord. Thanks so much for the reminder and for allowing the Lord to speak through you in these podcasts. It is a blessing to me. I listened to this one a little late, but interestingly you used some scriptures and ideas that are right along the lines of a sermon I am preparing for church this week. God is good!
